kitchen towel tutorial round up

According to Wikipedia, tea towels (otherwise known as kitchen towels or dish towels) are so named because they were special cloths reserved for the lady of the house to dry her expensive china tea set. Servants were not usually entrusted with such a delicate task.

I have to say, our tea towels fall well short of clean and delicate. More like grubby and unironed, despite the rule in out house that they be used to dry clean dishes only.

Nice tea towels, however, add a little homeliness to your kitchen or make great gifts, especially as part of a hamper (and you are thinking about your Christmas crafting now, aren’t you?).

Some of the tutorials are more for kitchen hand towels than tea towels as such; we use both in our kitchen.
