revised posting schedule

2010-05-30 16.59.03 Sleep deprivation is getting the better of me. I’ve finally taken my husband’s advice and for the next few months, I’ll be posting articles on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays only.

I have a lot I want to do with this website: a resources page as I’ve mentioned before, an eBook or two, some videos and more in-depth, useful and (I hope) interesting articles and newsletters, but I’m struggling with time to get everything done and to stay sane at the same time. Also, next month I’m going to start teaching again, an evening or two a week, so until I get a bit more organised and on top of everything, I’ll be posting a little bit less often. I hope you understand.

Don’t forget, there’s a link at the top of the page to subscribe via email or RSS to make reading easier. If there is anything in particular that you would like me to write about, leave a comment or drop me a line.

I remember those sleep deprived days. Don’t really miss it, but I remember :) . It’s good that you are able to say “no.” No, to the things that are not the top priority. That little guy you pictured in your post is definitely more important than posting every day. What a sweety! Hope you start getting some more shut-eye. Remember to pace yourself and don’t take too much on board. I look forward to your thrice weekly posts :) .

    Hello Melissa,

Your little boy looks gorgeous in that photo! I look forward to reading your posts no matter how often you can post them! I have been amazed that you have continued daily with so much on your plate now. It is always a joy to drop by and read your posts. I have photos of my eldest (now 20 yo) as a baby looking gorgeous all snuggled up like your son, and believe me, those baby days fly so quickly!….. so take the time to enjoy :-)

Post whenever you like, I enjoy reading them so I,m happy to work round your schedule, as you have such a cute reason for it.

Your blog is great. I will miss the daily read, but I am glad to hear that you are doing what you need to do. There’s no doubt you really learn the value of time once you have a baby. He’s looking very gorgeous in the pic.

    Hi Melissa,

Yes, take a break. We are all amazed at how much you have been doing these early months – it’s crazy!! If I can give you any advice, it will get better as your son grows and it’s better to do a little and not a lot (if you have a big break without doing anything you tend to get lazy and forgetful!)

Hope you get the rest you deserve. I will read your posts even if its only 1 a month!

Thanks everyone for your kind words. That is the reason I have continued to post daily, knowing that there are people out there in cyberspace who take time out of their lives to read what I write. It still amazes me. I love keeping busy, I think I would go insane if I didn’t do something for ‘me’, but I’ve been doing a little too much.

Hi I am new to this site. Rather than yes its fine you are taking a day off, thank you so much for all the information you are providing! Looks like a fantastic site.

You mentioned in the newsletter about a topic for a free book? May I suggest “Household management”.

Take care and enjoy the little one. they grow up way too quick!
