Hi Sonya, if my job was in a kitchen doing that much washing up, I'd want a dishwasher too!

I have worked with many junior staff who don't even know how to fill a sink with soapy water, let alone wash the dishes so they come out clean. They resist using hot water and pile plates with food scraps in the sink and expect it too be clean. So I wholeheartedly agree - dishwashing is a dying art.
Having said that, when my job is in a kitchen and I wash every dish in there up to 10 times a day, there is no way I will give up my beautiful dishwasher!
But I have turned to buying the more 'friendly' detergents for it, no phosphates etc. I'd like to learn how to make my own detergent for the dishwasher. That would be great.

Obviously I was listening to Brown Owl as that,s the order I have always washed my dishes. But now I have submitted to the lure of the dishwasher.
